NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) that New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the Traffic Authority, Hampshire County Council, owing to works in connection with level crossing maintenance works considers that the closure to the road as specified below should come into force without delay: ‑
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: That length of Trotts Lane Marchwood between a point 20 metres north of its junction with the level crossing and a point 20 metres south of its junction with the level crossing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: From the northern point of closure north via Trotts Lane to its junction with Marchwood Road; south-east via Marchwood Road and Bury Road to its roundabout junction with Normandy Way; south-east via Bury Road to its junction with Tavells Lane; south-west via Tavells Lane to its junction with Pooks Green; north-west via Pooks Green and Trotts Lane to the southern point of closure and vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From 23rd July 2009 for a period of five days or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than between 2230 hours on Thursday 23rd July 2009 and 0600 hours on Friday 24th July 2009).
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the restriction is in force.
