The Scout group have had a busy term with various different activities leading to the awarding of many badges in each section.
Perhaps, the highlight for the Beaver scouts was the sleepover held at Applemore where some of our Beavers joined others from the District.
A great time was had by all.
The Cub scouts completed their Science badges and among other activities had a wonderful two evenings learning how to use and care for their cycles safely, thanks to Mr.Adams - more badges gained!
The Scouts programme is always full - they have attended the County Winter camp and taken part in the County Rifle competition doing extremely well.
They have been ‘bag-packing’ at Asda where they received many complimentary remarks from the public and simultaneously raised funds for more ‘fun’ activities.
Explorer scouts - the section for 14years - 18 years have also been busy but they would welcome anyone else, of that age group, who feels they would like to join them - Thursday 7.30.p.m. at the Scout Hut.
Thanks to a grant from Exxon the group has been able to buy new tents which will be used mainly by the Scouts. Thank you Exxon.
Members of all the sections joined the Mother’s Day service at the Parish church in March, taking an active part and also attended the St George’s Day Parade at Dibden Purlieu with members of all the groups from the District.
The coming months are also set to be busy starting with a Group visit the Army Air Museum at Middle Wallop in May
If you believe that your child might like to be a member of Marchwood Scout Group, could you please let any Leader know, so that their name might be put on the waiting list.
Thank you
