Minutes

4. RESOLVED: To confirm the minutes of the meetings held on 5th and 11th May 2009.

Planning Applications

5. RESOLVED: To submit observations as follows:

08/92698 – Land Adj. 24 Poplar Drive: House (details only of access and layout). Refuse, on the following grounds:

The proposed house seems to be crammed onto the site and this will be out of keeping with the surrounding area.

The existing and proposed dwelling will not have sufficient amenity space.
The proposed dwelling is to be built near protected trees and some of these are to be removed.

There is concern at an access to the site from Long Lane as this is a busy road that often has speeding traffic along it.

The plans did not show parking for the proposed dwelling.

The above concerns are contrary to policies DW-E1, DW-E8, DW-E10, DW-E12, DW-T8 and DW-T9 of the New Forest District Local Plan First Alteration Adopted August 2005.

Community Plan Update

6. SID signs – a discussion was held to identify the location of where to place the two new posts for a SID sign to be connected to.

RESOLVED: That the Clerk contact NFDC with the locations of Oakland Drive and Tavell’s Lane.

7. Request for 30mph on Normandy Way.

RESOLVED: That the Clerk write to the area HAT team so that this matter can be discussed at one of their meetings and copy Cllr Alan Shotter into any correspondence.

Correspondence
