Election of Chairman & Declaration of acceptance of office
1. RESOLVED: That Cllr A Shotter be elected as Chairman of the Council, to serve in office until the Annual Meeting in May 2010.
Cllr Shotter duly signed the declaration of acceptance of office, which was formally witnessed by the Clerk.
Election of Vice Chairman
2. RESOLVED: That Cllr F White be elected as Vice Chairman of the Council, to serve in office until the Annual meeting in May 2010.

Chairman’s Report
10. The Chairman reported that he had been invited by Fullers to the official opening of the Pilgrim PH.
11. There was a meeting last Friday night with Oceanic Estates to discuss the transport issues in and around the Industrial Park and the village.

14. Cllr A Shotter reported that he had only dealt with a couple of planning enquiries since the last meeting.

Reports of Representatives to Outside Bodies
16. Marchwood Community Association: Cllr Hindle reported that they had run a couple of very successful children’s sessions over the Easter holidays and hoped to repeat this in the summer.
17. Friends of Marchwood Senior Citizens: Cllr Vango-Fisher reported that they were still doing a fantastic job.
18. Age Concern: Cllr Vango-Fisher reported that a certificate afternoon had been attended by the Chairman of NFDC who thought that the Village Hall was a marvalous facility.
19. Marchwood Youth Development Project: Cllr Collins reported that the committee had met and organised a trip for all councillors to Hiltingbury Youth Project.
20. Marchwood Twinning Association: Cllr Petty reported that he had missed the last meeting, but there is a trip in June to France to celebrate 10 years of twinning.
21. Waterside Heritage: Cllr Vango-Fisher reported that there was a well attended AGM. It has recently been announced that the larger hanger at RAF Hythe has been granted a Grade II Listing. A recent book sale was very successful and there has been an increase in membership.
22. New Forest Consultative Panel: Cllr Shotter reported there had been a presentation from the Forestry Commission. The Chief Agister spoke about accidents in the forest involving animals. Most accidents are caused by locals and not visitors and most of these happen on a Friday between 5 and 9pm.
23. NFALC: Cllr Shotter reported that the next agenda would be sent out soon and that he would request that this is put on the P&R agenda as there is a proposal to change the constitution.
